We really enjoyed our stay at The Retreat. It was very peaceful and quiet; a very relaxing getaway that felt like we were miles away from civilization, but were conveniently just a few minutes off the interstate and away from historic downtown Smithville. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and we were surprised to have amenities like a two-burner stovetop with everything we'd need to cook a meal (except the food!). The staff was very accommodating & helpful and the continental breakfast was excellent! We will definitely stay here again!
